Feminism Is Not A Bad Word

The feminist movement was started around 1848 and the only purpose of feminism was to bring equality between men and women and in today’s world as well it stands for the same and its believe is the same. Feminism is about bringing equality between men and women in personal, professional and public spaces, but unfortunately why has it become a bad word? Why do people trash feminism and why is it so offensive when someone says “I am a feminist”?

It all comes down to being aware of what the movement is what does being a feminist mean. People need to aware about the difference between feminism and pseudo-feminism. The main reason for people making feminism a bad word is due to pseudo-feminism which basically is man hating and believing that all men are bad and they’re all oppressors while that is not the case and that is not what feminism stands for. Feminism has always been about equality, has always been about bringing men and women on the same platform and it has never been about a particular sex’s superiority over the other.

So all we need is awareness and understanding the difference between the two terms and the believing in equality. I stand for equality and I proudly say “I am a feminist” and so should everyone else because we all need a world where everyone is treated equally irrespective of sex, gender, caste, creed, color, race or sexual orientation.

Delhi Administration’s latest TV commercial hits hard
Some TV commercials make sense even at this time of sale when all the sports icons or movie stars are trying to sell you a product or service. Grab the latest Delhi government TV commercial.
It shows a sincere young man from a poor family who says he wants to continue his education and his parents agree but they can’t advise him because they haven’t learned much. She says she needs a didi (older sister) who can guide her by talking to her for at least 10 minutes a day. He then looked at the camera and asked, “Will you be my classmate?”
The campaign is part of the Delhi government’s public relations program to seek out mentors who will improve the lives of aspiring young people who do not want to be offered help or assistance but guidance. The campaign comes as an acknowledgment that the government needs community support to improve the lives of the poor.
If the performance of public schools in Delhi has improved over the past few years in tests and other tests, it is because of this awareness that child caregivers and the community need to be involved and empowered by parent-led school governing bodies / boards. ..
The debt for this should not go to the Minister of Education in the Delhi government only. It should also go to activists and MPs like Atishi Marlena who work in education at the grassroots level. From July 2015 to April 2018, Ms Marlena served as an education advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of Delhi, Manis Sisodia.
After first winning Chevening and then Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University, Ms. Marlena could have been one of the dignitaries on her return to India. Instead, he taught for a time at Rishi Valley School in Andhra Pradesh and worked for the nonprofit Sambhavana Institute of Public Policy. He chose to work at the grassroots level before entering politics where he probably felt he could make a difference. Since January 2013, he has been involved in the formulation of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) policy.
It is alleged that Ms Marlena was a former college student in Delhi before she won a scholarship to Oxford and that her notes written in class on subjects such as history are still passed on from generation to generation.
That’s the awareness that comes from the latest Delhi state TV’s search for mentors who will guide bright children in poor families.
